God Time

Matt 6:5 "And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”

Do you have a “secret place” for prayer? Every morning I sit in the same chair to read my Bible, pray for a while and then wait upon the Lord. It’s my God Time. It’s a heart thing -

God is with us all day, every day but there is something special about this appointed time. For me it’s about discipline and consistency. It’s about showing up for God and letting Him know that I am looking to be with Him. That my heart desires alone time with Him. Sure, we talk all day long but it’s during this time my heart is most at peace. No matter what is happening in my life what I look forward to most is my – God Time.
Blessings,
